Life after LinkedIn Recruiter

The renewal quote is when most agencies ask whether the seat still earns its keep. This page is for that moment: what a seat costs in 2026, the complaints recruiters raise most, a side-by-side with Kretsia, and a way to test the switch on live roles before the contract ends.

Is there a LinkedIn Recruiter alternative that works for a recruitment agency?

Yes. Kretsia is AI candidate sourcing software for recruitment agencies. Describe the role in your own words or paste the job ad, and Kretsia searches professional profiles worldwide and ranks the people who fit, including passive candidates. Every requirement is marked met, partly met or missing, with the line from the profile that shows it, so you can tell the client why each person is on the shortlist. The same search runs on your own database: past applicants, your talent pool and your Teamtailor candidates. One click finds a person's work email. 14-day free trial, no credit card.

The recruitment agencies that use Kretsia describe it as their LinkedIn Recruiter alternative, which is why this page exists. On PeopleSearchBench's recruiting set, Kretsia scored 84.12 in June 2026, ahead of Lessie, Juicebox and Exa.

The renewal maths

LinkedIn publishes a price only for Recruiter Lite. Corporate and Professional Services seats are quoted by its sales team, so the figures below come from pricing guides and recruiter forums, each named with its date. The full breakdown, with every source, is on our LinkedIn Recruiter pricing 2026 page.

Why agencies leave LinkedIn Recruiter

The reasons agencies give in recruiter forums are consistent from thread to thread. Here they are, with what changes in Kretsia.

The seat price at renewal

A Corporate seat is reported at $10,800 to $12,960 a year in 2026, about 15% more than the year before, and the quote usually covers three seats. On r/RecruitmentAgencies in July 2026 an owner described a per-seat price going from $780 to over $1,100 a month at renewal. Kretsia is priced per user, and you can run it on live roles for 14 days without a card before any conversation about price.

The same candidates every agency is messaging

Every agency with a seat runs similar strings over the same members, so the same people hear from fifteen recruiters in a week. "Same candidates over and over", as one recruiter put it on r/Recruitment in April 2026. Kretsia searches professional profiles worldwide, not one network, and starts with the people only you have: your past applicants and your talent pool.

Boolean strings

A recruiter on r/Recruitment described a Boolean string that ran over a page and called it a symptom. In Kretsia you write the role the way you would say it to a colleague, or paste the client's job ad. Kretsia turns it into must-have and nice-to-have requirements you can edit, and the search runs on those.

InMail silence

InMail is capped per seat, and recruiters on r/recruiting in 2026 call their response rates the lowest they have seen. Kretsia finds a person's work email in one click, so your first message comes from your own inbox, with your name and your agency on it.

Starting from scratch on every role

Recruiter searches LinkedIn; the people who applied to you last year sit in the ATS, and most recruiters say they do not trust its search. In Kretsia the brief you write for the new role runs on past applicants, the talent pool and your Teamtailor candidates first, with the same ranking and marks, and only then on the world. More on searching your own database.

Showing the client why these five

A client who asks "why these five?" wants more than five profile links. In Kretsia every person on the shortlist carries the same requirements, each marked met, partly met or missing with the line that shows it. That is the reasoning you forward, and it looks the same whether the person came from your database or from a new search.

How to switch: run both for 30 days

Agencies that have made the change tend to describe the same sequence. It fits inside the notice period of an annual contract.

  1. Pull the renewal quote and the usage. Write down the price per seat and the renewal date. Then count which seats are used every week. Leonar's renewal guide (September 2026) treats seats under about 200 profile views a week as candidates for a downgrade.
  2. Pick three live roles. Different seniority, different markets, all open now. The test only means something on roles a client is waiting for.
  3. Paste each job ad into Kretsia. Start the free trial, paste the ad, and read the requirements Kretsia pulled out of it. Edit anything the client would word differently, then run the search.
  4. Compare what you would send the client. For each role, put the Recruiter shortlist next to Kretsia's. Look at the names, and at what each list lets you say about every name.
  5. Find emails and write. Use Find email on the people you pick and write from your own inbox. Keep a count of replies against your InMail replies over the same weeks.
  6. Decide seats before the renewal date. Corporate and Professional Services contracts renew annually, so the notice date goes in the calendar first. Agencies that keep LinkedIn often move the remaining recruiters to Lite seats; Leonar puts the saving at $810 to $910 a month per seat downgraded.
  7. Move the people over. Export projects and notes from Recruiter before the seat ends; project history does not carry over to Lite. Add the people you keep to Kretsia's talent pool or a job's pipeline, or send them to a Teamtailor job with the notes on why they match.

How this page was made

LinkedIn does not publish Recruiter Corporate or Professional Services prices, so every figure here is a third-party report, named with its date, and checked on 25 October 2026: HeroHunt, Leonar, Pin, HootRecruit, FullEnrich and Recruiter by daily.dev, plus threads on r/RecruitmentAgencies, r/Recruitment and r/recruiting. Several of those guides are written by vendors of competing tools, as this page is. Kretsia is our product. The full list with links is on the pricing page.

FAQ

Questions about leaving LinkedIn Recruiter.

Kretsia is the one built around what an agency has to deliver: a shortlist where every requirement is marked met, partly met or missing with the line from the profile that shows it, so you can tell the client why each person is on it. It searches professional profiles worldwide and your own database with the same brief and finds work emails in one click. Other tools agencies name are Juicebox, Pin, Loxo, SeekOut and hireEZ; our best AI sourcing tools page compares them.

A Recruiter Corporate seat is reported at $10,800 to $12,960 a year in 2026, and most agencies are quoted three seats. Kretsia is priced per user, with the price given on a call, and starts with a 14-day free trial that needs no credit card. The agencies that use it run the trial on live roles next to their Recruiter seats, then decide how many seats to keep at renewal.

The recruitment agencies that use Kretsia describe it as their LinkedIn Recruiter alternative. The test that settles it is simple: paste three live job ads into Kretsia during the trial, run each brief on your own database and then worldwide, and put the shortlists next to the ones from Recruiter. Compare what you would send the client, including the met, partly met and missing marks per requirement.

LinkedIn publishes only the Recruiter Lite price, $170 a month for one seat. Third-party guides checked on 25 October 2026 put Recruiter Professional Services at $6,000 to $10,000 per seat a year and Recruiter Corporate at $10,800 to $12,960, about 15% more than in 2025. Every figure with its source and date is on our LinkedIn Recruiter pricing 2026 page.

In Kretsia every person on the list carries the same set of requirements, each marked met, partly met or missing, with the line from the profile or CV that shows it. That is the reasoning you pass on: the client sees which requirements each person meets and where the trade-offs are, instead of a score. The same marks appear whether the person came from your own database or from a worldwide search.

Export them before the seat ends. Leonar's renewal guide (21 September 2026) advises pulling project and pipeline data out of Recruiter Corporate first, because project history does not carry over to a Lite seat. In Kretsia the people you keep go into the talent pool or a job's pipeline, where the next search on your own database finds them again.

Yes. Your Teamtailor candidates and CVs come in automatically every hour, and the people you pick from a search go into a Teamtailor job with one click, with notes on why they match. The same brief that searches professional profiles worldwide also runs on those Teamtailor candidates, your past applicants and your talent pool. See search your own database.
